This map depicts the invasion routes of Kublai Khan's Korean and Chinese fleets in 1279 and 1284 and the path of the typhoon of that desroyed the 1284 invasion. The map opens "Kamikaziing Kublai Khan", a chapter on the Mongol Empire's failed invasions of Japan in my book Dangerous Planet. I created the map in Illustrator and Photoshop.
